I'd like to add one comment to my earlier post about Orvis.

Orvis sponsors Casting for Recovery, a program that teaches fly fishing to women who are breast cancer survivors. My wife was a happy participant in one of their three-day retreats this past August. Orvis furnished all rods, reels, waders, etc. It's a wonderful program run by women for women. But it's more than just fishing--there are therapy sessions on dealing with both the physical and emotional issues associated with cancer, and the bonding of the sorority of survivors.

Some of you may remember my account of the retreat posted on the Board last August.

In spite of their image, which has been soundly trashed here, Orvis sponsors some wonderful programs that should be noted.
