Hey Folks!

Hope you all have a great time at the bash as I am sure you all will . This is the first bash Dana and I will be forced to miss in a number of years . As most of you know, we will be at the Fathers Day Bluegrass Festival in Grass Valley which I have not missed in over 25 years. 4 days of the best bluegrass music in the world on the stages plus all the jamming into the wee hours of the night a bluegrass fanatic like myself can handle and then some . Usually when I leave there Sunday I am just plain worn out and ready to crash from staying up most of the nights picking.

I got some good news from Buzz today and that is he received my package for the bash raffle where I donated a couple copies of our bands brand new CD, “Bob Played Here!”. The CD title is a tribute song we wrote to one of our music hero’s Mr. Bob Wills, the king of Western Swing . The CDs are doing well at our local gigs and we have gotten lots of great feedback on them.

Buzz, if you would, please bring or find an old CD player and give the group a little listen to one of these CDs before the lucky winner’s collect their prizes. The CD’s have already been opened and signed by yours truly.

You might very well say this CD project is a family affair with Dana (my wife) doing all the art work and design of our liner notes and all three of our kids being a guest artist on one song each. In addition our oldest son Jimmy did all the recording and mixing. Needless to say I am one proud papa .

Really glad to hear you won one of our CD's and really enjoyed the music . We are having fun with it and it has been well received. How are Michael and all the Hounds doing these days? Please give them my best regards.
