that's how they keep the # of licensed anglers up 18 Years, 2 Months ago
You, I , and 22% of the other licensed anglers in the state buy 2 or more licenses a year, because DFG has drug their knuckles on the Automated License system for so many years. To think we are the heart of the computer world, yet our state is the last ( or close to the last) to implement electronic licenses.

I lose at least one every year, to the point where I attach it to my waist or collar, then stick it into my pocket. Otherwise, it just gets blown off in the boat, torn off in the bushes, car door, etc. Then it gets ran thru the washer. I had a warden chew me out last year because the writing on the license was faded by the sun, like it's my fault. I filled it out when I purchased it as required by law, it's not my fault they use crappy paper. Too bad they don't use the same system Oregon, Wash., Nev., Florida, Montana. Idaho, and 36 other states use, where I get my license wherever they sell Powerball tickets, give them my info and money and out pops a license. If I lose it, for a buck or two I can go print another one WITH all the stamps. I can easily send in end of the season harvest reports, all tied to my license # via the internet, and renewing my license is simple, I don't have to drive to 6 stores at Christmas time looking for one that has next years license, steelhead tags, abalone cards, Klamath cards, 2 rod stamps, So Ca. marine improvement stamps, bay-delta stamps, sturgeon cards,... I think we deserve better service for the nearly $100 I give them in fishing license fees plus the other ~$150 I blow on a hunting license each year.

They claim it is an enforcement issue, it is really a way to generate $$$$$.

I lost mine the year before last went and got a new one only to find the lost one the following day...

When I lost it last year I said the hell with it and fished with the carbon copy. It was mid December so my fishing days were limited anyway.

Sonny, the black lab, ran ahead to make sure there were no gophers or jackrabbits in the way. If you don't give a dog a specific job, he'll improvise one for himself and it will invariably be fun. There's a lesson there.

U go first If you can have a whole hip replaced - what harm is a little chip going to do. Reminds me of a pill that was sold some years ago as a mosquito repellant - I believe it's off the market now - can't imagine why...
