The Northern California Fly Fishing Board

Just wanted to post a public "Thanks" to EricW for befriending a total stranger during my recent visit to Reno/Tahoe area from my home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Eric took the time to meet me at Pyramid, "show me the ropes" on what was going on, gave me a few flies, loaned me a ladder, showed my friend from South Africa "how to do it at Pyramid" (Fishing that is.. ) and generally showed himself to be a real gentleman and sportsman.

I've met a few here...(Reno/Tahoe ). Todd W. and Mike R. are also in this category.....

This experience just reinforces my feelings about this great sport that we participate in and in the fantastic people that one can meet almost anywhere you can find a "Feather Thrower"...

My South African Friend had no problems in finding common interests immediately, and new friendships were built in minutes !

So, to EricW, ToddW and MikeR and all the other participants in the NCFFB, a hearty thanks and congratulations in building a great tool for the furtherance of our sport..... and for the creation of lasting friendships.....

Friends are a gift you give yourself. It's been a pleasure being your friend. I know Eric feels exactly the same. Glad you had another great time. Next year check in around the first of the year for our Five Dot schedule...I know I can make that!
