Thank you G.M 18 Years, 2 Months ago
As a counterbalance to my previous post, I think I owe it to GM to make this post.

Many of us (me included) are bashing this board for what it has become, and not remembering HOW MUCH GM has given us.
Thank you GM. Thanks for all this board has given me, and hopefully will continue to give.

PS: were you invited to to be a OTHER? You gave so much to the OTHERS through your bashes, protected one prominent OTHER from various calls for banning, and frankly the others would not have a website without you since they would of never met on this board, gained such solid friendships through your bashes and from this board.

I think the OTHERS should think about what life would be like if you had never started NCFFB? Would they know each other? Have such a strong friendship? Have fished nearly as many places as they have? Gained as much knowledge as they have? If they want to leave fine. But they should at least thank you for all that you have given them, for there would be no OTHERS without you. They probably wouldnt even know each other, know half the spots they fish, have a Hud's hole, etc.

Are you a OTHER Ben Bashing GM? How long have you been on here, since 1999? How many bashes have you been to? 7? 10? How many of the OTHERS that you met and become friends with were met on this board? All????

You are correct, Ben... GM didn't start the board... I'm not sure who did, really. When I first found it the board was at Chico and then it moved from there and of course there have been lots of changes over the years.

I think that if you are objective you can say that GM has contributed a lot of time and energy into the Board and the community, regardless of what may have passed between you and him, or GM and Doug or anyone else. GM does deserve some thanks, as well as others.

I don't want to take sides. I want to be able to like you and GM and Slo and all the other folks, except Skirt .

Dang man, I just want folks to let all this stuff ease into the fog of memory and time so we can get on with it... it being bashing, fishing, tale telling and gentle ribbing.

There are enough us vs. them things out there, ya know?

Yeah, let's get back to trashing KAYAKERS !!! 18 Years, 2 Months ago
Reasons why whitewater kayakers SUCK:

1. Whitewater kayakers not only ride short boats, they ride the short bus!

2. the patchouli oil and Rogaine they wear scares all the fish.

3. Their VW Vanagon's can't go faster than 50 mph.

4. Hemp sandals, hemp shirts, hemp shorts, hemp paddles, hemp PFD's,...

I'll give you a week and a C note 18 Years, 2 Months ago
to find me ONE. I haven't seen any "hot chicks" in kayaks yet, the only ones I've seen are so homely that you have to drink way past 4am before they get into the "3" range, meaning how many dogs I would want to chew my eyes out and pool noodle off after I "walked" with her.

They do make good targets when the fishing is slow - which it normally is due to the premature water releases...

Sonny, the black lab, ran ahead to make sure there were no gophers or jackrabbits in the way. If you don't give a dog a specific job, he'll improvise one for himself and it will invariably be fun. There's a lesson there.
