Bridgeport ,Twin lakes, E. Walker report. 18 Years, 3 Months ago

I while back I told some folks I would post a few reports throughout the season, so here is the first one. Bridgeport res is starting to pic up for tubers who are midging, for kick trolling Rickards stillwater nymph and seal buggers are working and Rickards AP Emerger with a #18 peacock softhackle or other softhackle styles trailing behind should pick up some fish. The Twin Lakes have been a bit tougher but not horrible with the same techniques as Bridgeport being used. The Flows on the E.Walker have been steady at around 93cfs since the 3rd which is a bit thin but still very fishable with temps topping out at 52 -54 arond 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
As far as bugs its still Baetis and midge patterns with caddis rock worms startin to show up. The Stonefly action was about 2 weeks ago with some fish still looking up for them. The ranchers were'nt calling for much water due to the extent and duration of the wind we had around here, It was evaporating the water before it had a chance to sink in. But with the weather improving I expect that to change soon. Well I hope everyone is doing well in their adventures and remember to get outdoors as much as possible. later scott

Thanks for the update Scott.
Will be over there June 5th thru the 9th. Hope the Reservoir is fishing great by that time. Plan on hitting it and heading down to Crowley once or twice during the trip. Had excellent results in the tubes last year right off the marina. Hopefully fish will move into that area as the weather warms up before next month!!! Also hope the Virginia's are open by then.

Our tradition is that of the first man who sneaked away to the creek
when the tribe did not really need fish.
