The Northern California Fly Fishing Board

Hey Folks,
After getting home from Church the last Sunday it was so nice outside that Dana and I decided to take a drive up into the Mountains to enjoy the scenery and maybe even wet a line a little. Slims pictures of that highway 88 trip he took a while back looked appealing to me so that is where we went. We didn’t get the kind of terrific pictures he did but at least I did catch a couple fish anyway . I caught the fish in Silver Lake. I didnt even know if I would end up fishing at all on this trip but it felt good to work out the old casting arm for the first time in a long time and actually catch a couple fish. Here are a few of our pictures from our highway 88 excursion.

Silver Lake, beautiful day, a really nice spot to at least do some casting.

After some experimenting with some flies, I actually hooked a couple nice, decent browns.

Here is the first fish, a nice 12 inch plus fish, sure felt good!

Here is what I caught the fish on, a little beadhead fly that I think I got from you Phil from a swap or something.

Hey Buzz,

Thanks, it was really nice to get out in the Country on a beautiful day and especially to catch a few fish as well. Work is keeping me so busy I just have a real hard trying to get some fishing in. One more year until I can retire .

Thanks for asking about Gene. He is recovering and been back working part time for a couple weeks now. We haven't played for over three months now . we are hoping to do our CD release gig before the year ends.
