I was able to fish Davis for a few hours on Sunday. It sure is nice to have this lake back.I caught a number of cookie cutter fish in the 14-17" range on bhpt's and blood midges under an indicator. There were very few people fishing and the weather was tolerable.Water temps are still a little warm but should start dropping quickly.

Shameless Spam Alert!!I have a few openings available for this fall if any of you would like to come and fish Davis.See you on the water!

What, you couldn't get them to hit on streamers? Have you tried using beads there? Next thing you know, you'll be flinging jigs!

Well, I know that stillwater is booooorrrrriiiiinnnnngggg.
I also know that you have options, but if you want to use your bobber that's fine with me. Who am I to judge you? I'm proud to have taught you everything I know about steelheading...and you still don't know nuthin'!

However, I DO consider you Queen of the steelhead.

November's filling up. I'm not going to be up there for long. Tomorrow, when I feel a little more cheerful, I'll post about something I've found and might be planning relating to steelhead...it's called Oregon. Heard of it? Weenie.
