Hi,
12 Sep 08
Now the hard part begins. Cathy was discharged from the hospital Thursday, and I got her home about 1430. We spent the rest of the day waiting for the oxygen extractor, tank refiller, and travel tanks to be delivered, to say nothing of the commode. She is currently on 3 antibiotics, 2 blood pressure meds, 2 diuretics, 2 inhalers, 1 Potassium Chloride, plus a back up pain killer, and a back up anti wheezing inhaler.
She is eating well, and getting around pretty well. I think progress is being made. We have at least three doctors appointments in the next two weeks, a home nurse coming in regularly, a home health aide three days a week, and a physical therapy person three days a week. I sure hope we can get her physically back to her old independent self, off the oxygen and out of the walker.
Please keep those prayers and good thoughts going.
