The Northern California Fly Fishing Board

Chris and I just got back from a very nice high elevation golden trout adventure. WOWZERS, it was 100 degrees in the Owen Valley, and in the 60's above 10,000 feet! At night it dropped into the mid-30's! Too bad the cool temps didn't do much to hamper the local flying corps activities! We were applying bug dope every hour or so or else we'd be sucked dry
The golden trout fishing was incredible, and any properly presented dry fly rose the fish. They were quite spooky though, and we saw lotsa of tails swimming away from us!

And fantastic pictures, Bob. It's hard to beat the colors on a Golden trout. That high mountain creek fishing is wonderful!
