You should get it. Be prepared to need some time to get used to it. I had a few ah ha moments after using it a number of times. Stiff butt, but loads slow. It still casts well in the wind. This is not a big river rod, such as the L. Sac. It's best for smaller moving water, like the Merced, Walker, Carson, Owens...

If you don't want it, I have a friend who drools over mine, who would love the rod. Let me know and I'll put your friend in touch with mine.
