tying flies all morning in anticipation of the fishing season just around the corner- so much for work and productivity levels. Walked outside to check the mail and coulda swore I was behind a a cotton harvester today- white puffs everywhere. Ah yes, them cottonwoods down on the corner are in full bloom, a sure reminder that shad season can't be that far behind. Yee haw! Got a couple of dates with Mr and Mrs LMB coming up after I get those tax filings done as well- maybe I'll send a few flies along with my extension sort of as an economic stimulus appreciation package for those folks as well.

So where are the shad, and why haven't you set aside 14 of those shad flies to put into the swap?

Do I sense a little arm twisting, Phil?? Two and half weeks? That should be enough time to get this fluffy stuff of of me. Okay, put me down for it.

All that is needed now is to box em up. Now, all I have to do is take two and a half weeks getting to the post office. (sure am glad the boss did not drop by today as I would have gotten walkin' papers today) Don't ever have your tying gear at work this time of the year. Been casting a sweat 3 wt after I get to work as well.
