A friend of mine passed along the posts regarding Truckee River Outfitters closing. Thanks to those of you who expressed regret that TRO will not be open this season. I am the owner and it was a decision I would have liked to avoid. The reality for me right now is that the specialty fly business is experiencing a difficult time. The combination of an uncertain economy, Big Box stores expanding, internet sales, gas prices, etc. all contribute to this. Hopefully the closure will be for this summer only. I appreciate those of you who have patronized our stores (and other fly shops) in the past, and hope to see you all again in the future. Thanks for your kind words as well.
