Final T Report!!! 17 Years, 7 Months ago

Well I figured I am leaving soon so I would hit the T for one last day, I usually dont fish it this late cause of the ratio of downers but with all the recent rain and and the word of fresh fish I went. I decided to start at DC bridge and work my way back up stream, There wasn't one wader there just 2 FS boats. After they moved through I put some drifts in and stuck one, and then nothin for a while so I bailed to IC. no one there and I crushed em good, One dark buck the rest all fresh and fiesty. Then went to BT couple people aruond got nothin,Then old bridge I stuck a couple.Last stop cemetary area and that was fun.14 fish not one hatchery all day.
Those that know me know that I dont work in the winter all I do is fly fish.I fished about 80 days on the T since November 1st and it was alot of fun.My bro's (best friends)and I camped out at JC for three weeks to start and it started well and got better. After they left about every week there were friends coming over to fish so I had alot of small gatherings.Never did get checked by DFG this year. Met some new people on the river this year that was cool, With all the whining and complaining about the crowds this year(and every year ) out of all my days fished there I only encountered people where I wanted to be a couple of times and they left soon enough. Oh yeah and as for the boat traffic most folks are real polite and boats push fish up to the angler,I cant even count how many times I got hooked up within 5 min of a boat passing so look at the bright side. There's a whole lot of river to fish , just cause its your favorite spot its not the only spot so lets try a little more exploring and a lot less whining . See ya on the east side! later scott

Yeah, it WAS a good season, huh?
I think most of the complaining is done by guys who come up during the weekends. It really was a zoo up there then, although there were plenty of weekdays when things got a bit tight.
Sorry I didn't see you last year. Maybe next November. I'll share a technique or 2 with you. I owe you big-time, Bro!

A steelhead fly fisherman needs two qualities:
A strong casting arm and a room temperature IQ.
