Hi,
Instead of going to Tahoe for ski week, we decided to visit the cabin in Island Park, Idaho instead. This was my first winter visit, and will not be my last. This was an outstanding week.
I was able to fish 2 days. Both were fantastic. Each day brought 7 or 8 fish to hand, about an equal mix between browns and rainbows. There were sporatic rises, but the most action came fishing size 20 BWO emergers in the film.
The temp started at 14 when I went in. When not catching, I had to head to the car after an hour to warm up. But, a hookup was enough to keep the cold away.

I fished below the Warm River confluence, but couldn't help snapping a photo of the river at Last Chance (while warming up in the trouthunter)
We also took a Snow Coach tour of Yellowstone. Outstanding!
Finally, a tip. We had plenty of firewood cut in the summer in anticipation of this trip. The firewood was stored dry in the old outhouse. This summer, we will be storing the firewood a little closer to the cabin.

4-5 feet of snow on the ground.
