The East Walker !!!! 17 Years, 8 Months ago
Not that my old job wasn't adventurous but I have felt a need for change and more adventure. I have decided not to work on the Helicopter this year and give up fighting fire to persue my guiding. I have given notice at my house in Redding, Bought an outfitters tent and decided to live outdoors all summer right on the E.W. river at my friends ranch on the Nev/cali border.I'm super exited cause I have been away from the E.W. for 3 years now and it has made me jones to get back. I will be posting later on the hook ups page for an E.W. mini bash for the beginning of April so keep it in the back of your head. This is the second year that the E.W. has been open this time of year and it fishes great.I will start work at Kens Sporting Goods in Bport around the 20th of march
If anyone would like info on the E.W. feel free to contact me and I will do my best to point you in the right direction. This is not spam , just a note to some of my board friends on my new life changes. later scott

I would totally love to do an East Walker mini-bash. If I can get there in April, I will be there. I will look for your post.

I will let you guys know it should be a great time. I've tried this in the past but its hard for folks to get to the East side that time of year. It is worth it though, a small group would be fun.

Let me guess......you're not married

I was just talking with my buddy about doing a 5 day fishing road trip this spring and heading back to the EW was one of our options. If we do we'll be sure to look for you at Kens.

Now you're talking! After moving to Nevada 4 years ago from Twain Harte, all of my fishing has been on the east side. A mini-bash sounds like fun. Haven't fished the E. Walker in quite awhile. My favorite places are Twin Lakes at Bridgeport and June Lake loop. I have a week planned at Twin Lakes with some friends in July. Thinking about spending some time at Virginia Lakes as well this year.
