I would call Keine's to ask about the specifics... 800 400 0359

There may be a more local shop, but I don't know them.

1,200 cfs is perfect. Reports from Kiene's Message Board state that water is slightly discolored and green, but visibility is good. Some skwalas at midday, and some PMDs later. This nice weather should bring out the bugs.

I'm going to try it tomorrow.

Cheers,
El Rey

1200 shouldn't be too bad. Esp if you fish above the Hwy 20 bridge...2 wks ago they were slashing caddis emergers, and stones were floating all over the place in the afternoon.

Call Tony at Nevada City Anglers (530) 478-9301 for local conditions. If you have good fishing please think about the ramifications before you start boasting, I mean posting, across bulletin boards. There are hundreds of lurking eyeballs out there.
BTW: Putah has been incredible lately.

Well,Tuesday I did fish that sweet little gem of a river, and it was gem coloured!Great hoards of skwalas in the rocks and bushes, sized 10 to 14's....females all. 10 to 15 other ppl fishing the big riffle before you have to climb over to get to the trailer flats...in 6 hours of fishing One man caught the only 3 fish of the day...2 on drys, a cahill creation, during the afternoon PMD hatch,at that same time the crazy Skwalas were returning to river. There were sloppy rises to emergent PMD's...very few at best.Once again the fishing was excellant on this river! the catching part never occured for me this time...I was just grateful to be there! Thanks for all your help!

Were you the guy I was talking with? I was the old graybeard. I caught 6, landed 3. One on a Copper John early, then one on a Cahill and the rest on skwalas. My buddy, however, got skunked--we were pretty much fishing the same flies in the same area. Last time out he caught fish, and I was skunked.

In spite of Ralph's concerns, there was plenty of river for the crowd that turned out on such a glorious day. Another several days like yesterday and we'll start to see March Browns. Can't wait.

yes....that was me,sorry my report on you wasn't more concise. Normally, I would had been fishing a bit stronger, but the previous week I had shoulder surgery, still was grateful I could fish as much as I could!

Ralph,

How about we clarify "100's of lurking eyeballs" with no gas money or stuck at work.
