In Memory of Hud... 17 Years, 8 Months ago
What a wonderful tribute to Hud...When I Get Where I'm Going...It's the first time I've taken the time to download it, listen to it and watch it. I never got a chance to meet Hud but he must of been quite a guy to have had such a loyal group of friends. I can't think of a better way to send a friend off than what this group did here.

As Carpy posted recently "Probably the worst part about getting older is losing the ones you love..."

If you haven't taken the time to download this it's worth the time - even on dial up.

Sonny, the black lab, ran ahead to make sure there were no gophers or jackrabbits in the way. If you don't give a dog a specific job, he'll improvise one for himself and it will invariably be fun. There's a lesson there.

Yep, I have a digital picture frame on my desk that puts on a slide show of special moments in my life. There are a couple of pictures of Hud and Sas the last time they came to Montana. I find myself drawn to those pictures thinking about what a great friend he was and how good of a friend Sas is. We had so much fun with them.

Thanks Pete. It's still tough reading, but also heartwarming. It gives us a look at who Hud is. Like Charlie, hardly a day goes by, that I don't think about Hud. By the way, I didn't play the vid clip. It would be kinda tough to explain the tears here at work.

Friends are a gift you give yourself. Hud was sure generous to himself. Wish I had known him...glad I know so many of his friends.
