In an attempt to figure out why NCFFB is so clunky I did some housekeeping. There were 44 ncffb cookies in the system. I'm on Mac OSX 10.5.1 running Windows XP with Parallels 3.0. Parallels has been dishing out cookies to both sides of the partition and renaming them as it does so. A known bug. I removed Mozilla and IE from the VM, cleared the cache on both sides and now NCFFB seems to run fine with Safari, Firefox, and IE.
The NCFFB headers and toolbars refuse to stay collapsed but the vast majority of the roadblocks have been addresses from my end. Hopefully others can learn from this and possibly my lingering problems will turn out to be system-related rather than site-induced.
Perhaps there could be a view mode where we can turn off the NCFFB tool bar along with the campfire strips? Maybe forum, view, rules and help can be incorporated into the main header rather than in a separate toolbar? The current default view contains redundant search windows and redundant link buttons (Forum and The Board).
Hope this critique is more of a help than a Pain ITA.
Best -again thanks,
Ralph
