Here's my 1 cent worth (since the dollar is so weak at the moment)
I have to admit that I am not an oyster fan. I know... I know... But Richard will gladly step up to the plate.
For somewhat selfish reasons, I'll bringing another form of fine seafood for the group. Scallops is my first choice, but I the cooking arrangements will be a factor.
Regarding spirits, we have favorites in most of the red varieties (including Merlot!). Richard loves Cabs while I prefer the mellower Pinot. Open for suggestions as to what to bring.
How about reviving the "Red Wine Exchange" for those interested???
