Salmonid Restoration Conference
One of the most significant events of our California salmon and steelhead year takes place the first week in March at the 26th Annual Salmonid Restoration Conference to be held in Lodi. This is a unique opportunity to meet and lift a glass with most of the California professionals and conservationists under one roof. There are workshops on the 5th and 6th and then a great program of presentations on Friday and Saturday, concluding with a Saturday night banquet.
NCCFFF has been a sponsor some years. One of my early memories was of one of the times the council put on the dinner. When I got there, Dave Ford and his crew were out back with large saws cutting up stacks of frozen Bonito there were to be the entree. What a sight.
