The Northern California Fly Fishing Board

One of my Christmas surprises was Bob Quigley's recenty released DVD, Fishing Bob Quigley's Signature Flies. I wrote a brief review of this video and have just posted it to the NCFFB Home Page. You can read this review at:

I would buy this video and any of its subsequent releases if there was a series to follow. I won this DVD in a silent auction at the NCCFFF Redding Festival of Flyfishing last October. I did not realize how good this video was until I able to watch it repeatedly a couple of times on the first viewing. Bob is pretty thorough in his explanation of materials that he uses and his tying prowess. It is even better to see the situations that he fishes these patterns. It is reminiscent of the Oliver Edwards' series but in Bob's own style. I truly enjoyed Bob's anticipation and interaction with the fish as they either took his offering or in one instance refused it. I hope Bob Quigley follows up with another video of this nature. Phil, you are correct in saying that it is a nice Christmas surprise. Bob Quigley's Signature Flies and Ralph and Lisa Cutter's Insects of the Underworld are my top two video finds of the year.
