Nancy and I were blessed to have our Daughter visit from college this Christmas. And in typical college student style, she's still in bed (11:00am). So the anticipation of new FF stuff under the tree is still there.

Merry Christmas to you all. We too had a wonderful and memorable Christmas.

One of Christmas condrums is what to do about expanding families and maintaining family traditions. Our daughter is getting married this year. So there was the predictable tension over who the kids would spend time with. It was our turn. But instead, we went down and spent Christmas with the kids and inlaws to be in Chico. Absolutley awesome! It wasn't familiar territory (I am a bit of a wimp that way), but with a four day visit, we really got to know our new extended family. They range from university intellectuals (Christmas morning) to fourth generation cattle ranchers with an 11,000 acre ranch in the foothills above Chico (Christmas day). It took the kids off the hook for having to make an uncomfortable choice. And we had an awesome time.

I hope you all got to enjoy family and friends this holiday as well.

It was a special time.

But now its time to go fishing!

This little girl.
Her home is about a foot away from the keyboard and her head goes back and forth watching my fingers as I type. She thinks they're mice.
