I am fortunate to get lots of free books, some about fly fishing. A friend works at a fairly new publisher, Skyhorse Publishing, started by Tony Lyons. He comes from Lyons Press, a publisher of many excellent books on fly fishing. My friend there sent me E. Donnall Thomas, Jr.'s new book
Redfish, Bluefish, Sheefish, Snook: Far-Flung Tales of Fly-Fishing Adventure. Anyone who's read Whitefish Can't Jump knows that there's entertainment and knowledge to be found in Don's books, and this one is no exception. He's mainly focused on saltwater fly fishing in this book, and his stories will whet your interest in lots of interesting species and destinations. He also has a nice feature at the beginning of each chapter, describing each species at a glance--where it's found, suggested flies and tackle, what to bring, words of caution (which poison jellyfish are in the same waters), etc.
Good stuff.
