Bear River from Colfax towards Auburn. Fishing OK? 14 Years, 10 Months ago  
Is fishing allowed on the, what I think is called, Bear River, that comes down from the Colfax area and down towards Auburn? I drive over the Dog Bar bridge all the time to get out to highway 80 from Grass Valley and wondered if fishing is allowed at all.

Just curious. Seems like a nice little area to practice casting and get more familiar with the basics.
