I don't see a single item I need or even want.

"Rivers course through my dreams, rivers cold and fast, rivers well-known and rivers nameless, rivers that seem like ribbons of blue water twisting through wide valleys, narrow rivers folded in layers of darkening shadow, rivers that have eroded down deep in a mountain's belly, sculpted the land, peeled back the planet's history exposing the texture of time itself."
— Harry Middleton (Rivers of Memory)

"Each night as I haul myself onto the back of county garbage truck no. 2, there is a familiar wind, some thread of moonglow or starlight, a splatter of dark rain on my skin, something that stirs my memory, and again, if even for a brief moment, I am on some mountain river, some stretch of bright water, full of possibilities, including the possibility of trout, perhaps one that, when hooked, will haul me in and out of time, in and out of life's mysterious and frightening, wondrous and incomprehensible continuum, even to the edges of the universe." -- Harry Middleton

I guess I could make use of a few Perfects and St Georges if push came to shove... and a few more bamboo rods for my addiction wouldn't be out of the question.

Whew! I was worried about myself for awhile there.

As I recall you always seem to have a boo on order somewhere and financing said addiction seems to get in the way of your fishing opportunities.

I think that I will drop a few hints to the girlfriend that I want the Abel/M-Clip money clip in the Tarpon graphic for Christmas.

I don't need any more stinkin' fishing gear.

What I NEED is time off work to go fishing.

I'm getting too old to drive 300 miles after work on Friday to fish Saturday and Sunday morning then drive 300 miles home. It was wonderful when I was younger, but now doing trips like that take too long for oldtrout to recover from.

Come on OT. I am driving 500 miles in the am to fish for two days......then heading 300 more miles Friday to hunt for two days, then turning around and driving home.

Dang, I'm tired already!

Two days fishing, two days huntin', three days of driving = 7 days.

Now that post is just plain mean!

In spite of that, have a great trip!

And speakin of the Hounds. I noticed a friend wearing a Hounds t shirt the other day. She absolutely loved their music. She loaned me a CD and I am listening to it as we speak. Very nice stuff!
