In between volunteer projects we actually got some fishing in. See the link to access the trip report.

Brings back some great memories. In the mid 70's I was an assistant fire crew supervisor on the Amador Ranger District of the Eldorado N.F. We got lots of fires in the Mokelumne Wilderness. Standard procedure was to get dropped in by helicopter and then when your fire was out, walk out to the USFS cabin at Blue Lake. Often had to wait a day or even two to get picked up. The cabin was well stocked and I always had a pack rod in my fire gear.

It was a tough job, but someone had to do it.

Aweome report Dustin! I was up at PV Crek and East Carson that weekend. Pretty nice trip for us as well. Caught some fish, and more importantly, didn't get eaten by a bear.....with cubs!

We gotta go fishing one of these days.
