Stifles a Belch
We have a whole new generation coming up. SR's daughter, Junko caught a BIG rainbow. At least that was the story I heard. I was told Michael captured the moment digitally (see post below). Joey was stalking the local pond most of the time when he wasn’t eating. Justin was evil kenevling around the campground and Justin discovered the joys of Tonka trucks and dirt. Wyatt was definitely the coolest, showing up with a Motorcycle!! Boy, they sure grow up quickly.
Only did a bit of fishing on Sat, but it was entertaining. The trout were sipping something in the surface film. I tried a few emergers with little success. I then grabbed a rod with an intermediate line and a big ole brown leech. First cast it got smacked and broke off. Tried some more leeches with little success so I switched to an nice ant pattern and pick up enough fish that the ant looked more like a windshield bug. My last few fish were on a light rust mayfly style bug. For the sake of honesty I will admit that I hooked about the same number that I just out right missed. I would watch the trout rise up like jaws, take the fly, and when I set the hook, nothing was there. Maddening!!
It was sort of nice having a smaller crowd and it was a lot easier to sit and talk a bit with just about everyone. And, I did not walk away with all that much!!
I did win a guided trip on the Walker from Scottfree and as much as I would like to take him up on it, it is a bit out of my area. If anyone would like to discuss a beneficial transaction for this trip that would aid Salman, then drop me a pm.
That's all folks
Paul
