Hey Folks,
I finally got back out fishing for a day, my first such opportunity since that awesome Alaska trip about a month ago back now

. While Alaska is pretty much impossible to compete with, California does have some very nice fishing opportunities as well. My trip was a day trip up to fish the Lower Sac in Redding. I had the opportunity to fish with Chris Drummond, who lives up there, has a nice little drift boat and was kind enough to extend me an invitation to float and fish with him which I eagerly accepted.
I had first met Chris some time back last year as we exchanged some messages through the board. I believe he said his handle was Fallguy. Besides a love for fishing we discovered we also had a connection through Ham radio. My license unfortunately has been expired but Chris is still into it big time to the point where him and his Dad have designed a special radio antenna and are marketing it at the following web site:
www.buddipole.com Chris, for your information, our Board Leader GM is also a licensed ham.
We had a great evening of floating and fishing and hooked a number of really nice rainbows that evening. I can tell you those Lower Sac Rainbows definitely don’t play second fiddle to the Alaskan rainbows I caught a month ago. They are big and strong and were a ball as we both had our hands full trying to get some of those to the hand. As it turned out we only got a couple to hand but we did hook a number of nice fish on a standard two nymph set up with weight and an indicator. Here are a few pictures from the trip.
73’s and Thanks Chris for the great evening

! I look forward to getting back up to fish with you again.

Chris’s hawg, doesn’t take a back seat to any of those Alaska rainbows

Thanks again Chris!
