Lewiston 13 Years, 9 Months ago
Just returned from Lewiston, one of my favorite lakes. The big moon seemed to have put the fish down. There were fish sipping midges in front of Copper Gulch. I launched my pontoon there but was unable to interest the fish in some blood midges I had left over from the Davis Lake bash. The pool below the wier downstream from the hatchery was holding some large dark salmon. Had a good time. Yesterday was the last open day for the Fly only section. Saw several guides and a fair number of fly guys from Junction City on down as there were reports of a good number of Steelies moving up river. My knees don't do goat paths anymore so access can be a problem. Ta ta for now.
