Very nice report. I have always found The Fly Shop to be very accommodating and friendly. Glad you were able to get out on the water with a great guide who know where the fish hang out.
A guided trip on the Trinity is still on my "Bucket List." Don't know why I haven't done it yet, except it's expensive, and I hate cold weather. Meanwhile, there are steelhead in my home water, the American, a mile from my house. But they've jacked up the flows, so who knows what it will be like in a week or two.
