Old Poster,Many years ago or should I say the good old days of this board,back when we all chipped in to support it, I had the joy of traveling to a few steelhead mini get togethers and in return had a few of you come up here to fish Idaho,I had lost touch with many but Charlie and I have always kept in touch but had never met, fast forward to this past week,I had the honor of meeting Charlie and Ed( Carpy sorry you missed out hope all goes well)on a river west of my location on the 6th they were running late so I scouted out the area I wanted them to camp and I fished a few runs, with the baromiter all over the place airs tempts in the 100s for weeks and frost at 5am plus water flutuations on the 6th, this was not going to be walk in the park, we fished until dusk no one hooked up but enough fish were spotted in the clear water to get their blood flowing, I had to return that night so the plan was to stay at least a day or so and they would give me call on the way back to the Boise area,no call all week !figured with the cloudy windy weather they either got into fish or just packed it in and continued their trip east,I just got the call today,The REPORT !the first fish for both were at 24" on dries and they were into fish every day,I'm happy it worked out as planned and an honor to finally meet these two fine gentleman, and hope next season Carpy will join them up here
