Nice bass in your profile pic! Kayaks are the best way to get around and fish. I have two, a OK Trident 15 and a Hobie Pro Angler.( I'm fat and my dogs like to ride on back, I need more flotation than your Escape ) I was talking to UC earlier in the week, we should all get together and have a Striper fish-out on Lake Mendocino this fall. Ed K has a kayak too. With five or ten kayak anglers, we could herd the Stripers toward a cove and beat on them.

I like the Trident. I'm thinking about the Trident 11 for my next boat. My Cobra is 10-5 which is perfect for what I need. I think the Tri 11 is 11-4 so it's only another foot or so longer. Shorter boats are a little easier to muscle around in current and I use mine in rivers a lot so I need to keep the length down a bit. I HAVE to have an A hatch to store rods so the Cobra's and OK's are the only boats I've considered. I can get several rods inside my current boat, even one piece casting rods. I like that rod pod idea on the OK's, it would be nice to be able to get inside without getting out of the boat. I have a little round hatch in front of the seat but it's pretty much worthless if you need anything bigger then a fly box. I'm up for stripers sometime although I'd probably bring mostly casting rods.
