I know you CHP guys have a hard job and have to prioritize the crimes, but if I go fishing Jan. 1st without a new license, I'm in violation. The DFG doesn't give me any slack. They throw the book at me. Those drivers get a notice in the mail just like I do, they have no excuse. If I can't get my junk together before the expiration date, I need to take a day off work and take care of it. That is where this whole thing goes back to. There are some people who will abide by the law and buy a fishing license, and there are some that won't. Proudly displaying it above the waist so I can lose 1-4 in a year to blowing off, getting torn off in the brush, lost in some dark gear bag for two years..., was just a tool to get a law-abider to pay MORE than his share for a license. I'm glad that regulation is off the books.
I can show you the High resolution pics that show JAN 2010, not June, I didn't even chase down the questionable ones. Those pics are 3 MB, I didn't want to post them.
I just sat in the #2 or #3 lane and let them pass me, I just drive 65mph cruise control and let these scofflaws buzz by, then I hunt them down like a shark. Sooner or later the traffic will let me catch back up and I can get a picture.
It is a game I play with myself while driving, I watch my mirrors while driving down the freeway and gamble whether the car coming behind me is expired or not, or... if driving north/south on I-5, what state they are from based on how fast they drive (Oregon, Washington and the British Columbia drivers speed the most drive right up behind you at 85/90, lock up the brakes then flash the high beams at you, CA drivers weave the traffic more, Nevada Drivers are just plain NUTS)
