Just to explain, I was fishing a coastal that always kicks my butt, but it's beautiful so I fish it. Last year, my 7th season fishing there, I finally hooked a steelie after getting some advice from an experienced angler, but I've still never landed one there. This year was my 8th without a fish to hand.
I was talking to an elderly local gear guy who asked me how I was doing and I told him this was my 8th year without a fish. He replied, "Well, then don't you think you should try fishing somewhere else?"
I thought that was pretty funny and wanted to share that with the NCFFB.
