I'm a new guy to the board who is getting more hardcore about fly fishing. For many years I've fished the upper-upper Klamath, meaning Keno dam to California side. A few side trips to the upper Sac, McCloud, Pit, etc. but for the most part a couple weeks/year trout fishing the Klamath gave me my fix of solitude and fly fishing.
Recently, I have gotten more into it and even started tying my own flies. I was wondering if I was passing thru Redding in the winter if there were good access spots to wade for trout or maybe dump my Kayak in and float a couple miles (staying away from bridge work and if I can find a ride back up, LOL). I dont know what flow levels are optimum for easy access either. I guess I need to stop in the Flyshop and ask too. Thanks in advance for any input.
