Lewiston Lake Report 16 Years, 9 Months ago
Rachael and I went up to the lake for a few hours today , started out with overcast skies and
a light breaze but it didn't take long for the sun to shine . The usual midge hatch was on for
the first hour with fish rising all around us till the sun popped out and like always I
matched the hatch with a #8 bugger a black tail leach pattern that has worked well in the past.
We only found one willing fish with the leach and had some good takes but nothing else hooked.
Here's Racheal working the 5wt glass rod

and the result ....she out fished me

I guess I had my head in the clouds, after the sun popped out I started midgeing and missed
every take but it was great just to be on the water with a fly rod in hand.. Oh ya those clouds.
After seeing this I new I was doomed

See you on the water
