So, Buzz, who was going to run the raffle has been overtaken by events, and can't even make the Bash, never mind run the raffle.
Since I have absolutely no experience with this [and apparently no brain ] I said I'd take it over.
The list of things donated so far is not large, but we are going to have a raffle regardless.
Here is how I am going to run it.
1. I am adopting the name Raffle Nazi. It's too late for any votes except with your pocket books, checkbook or prize donations.
2. Tickets are a buck apiece, straight up.
3. I will accept cash or personal check. No food stamps. Make out the check to your favorite charity, and SPELL IT RIGHT!! I will mail the checks to the charity after I get back from fishing after the Bash.
4. Cash purchases go to support the board.
5. I am leaving my house the morning of 11 June. If you want to send me a check for tickets so it arrives on or before 10 June, send it to

I will assign you tickets and guarantee that they get in the raffle. If the check arrives after I leave, I will return it to you. If you mail cash – it will go to support the board.
6. We will have the Raffle Drawing Saturday evening after the Potluck, while the kids are still up.
7. I’ll accept Raffle Prizes [in good enough taste to let kids see them] right up to the start of the pot luck.
8. If anyone feels strongly enough that I am wrong about any of these decisions, feel free to take over the Raffle.
