I never was able to read your message before it went white. Joey has been interested in getting a spey rod for a while and he has been casting them at the ISEE shows and local shops. We had a opportunity to get a 7wt BIIx switch real cheap but when he casted it he said it was ok but it did not make his heart sing. At the Kiene's expo we ran into a Beulah rep and he fell in love with the Beulah 6/7wt 11'6" Spey(not switch) rod. Its on the border between switch and spey. It is light in hand and should handle everything in Northern Ca and beyond. They cost about half of what a z-axis costs and have they have their own lines that are made for the rods. We will be picking it up on Thur and chasing some Shad that night. I will post a report if he gets into some.
