Yeah, Paul, it must be the cap. There is no valve to stop the escape of air after it is pumped up. I could not see any threads on the inside to hold a valve anyway. Was there just a cap or was there a one way valve below the cap? If it is just the cap, I think we can fix that if we can locate a cap, unless you have a solution for the valve also. If it starts leaking, I just don't want to have to come to his rescue, if the fish are cooperating. Perhaps I'll loan him a PFD
