If anyone happens to live in the south bay you may have noticed the weather yesterday was unique...its about the one time of the year that this happens. Its the first overcast and rainy day of the season...but and this is the point..it is also over 70 deg!!!
From past experience this weekend is bass weekend. I have done particularly well on previous seasons in the reservoirs in the south bay on days like yesterday and likely today...it still hasn't cooled off but is rainy.
You can fish the coves in the 3-10ft depths and possibly get some action.
Frankly, I guess wooly buggers would work, but I have to be honest...I leave the flyrod at home and bring a spinning rod with purple rubber worms!
But on a fly, this weekend still is the best kind of weekend. Spring time things come alive too...but this is one of the less known active times for bass around here.
I'm not sure if I'll get out today.
And if I get some time I'll retype my post about my blue winged olive siting here in the south bay! ....and the contextual adventure.
