Spent the last three days on the Upper Sac, Upper McCloud, and Squaw Valley Creek. Beautiful weather, lots of October caddis, but no one I spoke with saw a fish rise to one. I did catch quite a few using imitations, though. Nice trip all in all. Maybe the most enjoyable aspect was the conversations I had with folks, from Bob Grace at Ted Fay Fly Shop, to a guy from Oregon fishing Cantara for the first time in 50 years, to a nice couple from the Bay Area. She'd just started fly fishing, definitely has the bug.
Ran across an interesting stranger at Prospect access. This stranger knew instinctively that I post on this board, not the one that has all the guys who favor his/her species. Not to name names, of course.
So a couple of pics--beautiful day at Prospect, and the mysterious stranger who was hanging out.
