Where is everybody else fishing? 15 Years, 1 Month ago
While i was hooking rising trout and steelhead on the Feathers low Flow I had to laugh, almost to being giddy at the lack of anglers fishing here on the Feather! If your not fishing elsewhere, like in the mtns, or not hooking fish, grab your 4wt., some size 14-18 Caddis patterns (You know which one I'm using...)and come to thr Low flow. Warmer days are creating dynamite conditions with mutiple bug species hatches happening all day long.
Yesterday the fish went berserk on the caddis to the point of being stupid!
However, at first I was using 5x tippet and after breaking two adult steelhead over 4lbs off I stepped it up to 4x!
Midday I hooked eight, got five to the net and kept the bright hatchery fish pictured for dinner!

A strong casting arm and a room temperature IQ.

Heck yeah, bookings are down!~ its been that way for a couple of years now for the guide industry. Personally I haven't been guiding for several years now and I got out when I saw the slow down coming.. So yeah bookings are down LOL!
The plus is there's no fussin goin on out on the water jockeying around with seventeen other boats!

In my mind since that is the only place I can go right now as I recover. But the fishing is great and the fish are huge. Huge, I tell you, HUGE!!!!

And, what is it, Charlie, that the docs gave you to help with your recovery?
Hope you're wetting a line soon.
