Dude, If your looking to fish in an area you have no idea about, want intimate local knowledge of a watershed without spending all day driving around dodging crowds. And sounds like your willing to spend a little money. Hire a guide! Make the most out of your day. Coming from a guide, thats the first thing I do when I go somewhere where I've never fished. It justs makes sense getting knowledge from a person that spends the majority of thier time on the water or has a network of guides they work with that are also on different bodies of water full time.

If you've ever seen a 911 Porsche down at the Nature Conservancy on the McCloud......it was probably me. A 911 makes so much of the trip so pleasurable that it's worth the minor cosmetic risks. BTW, I was just down that road a week ago and is was pretty good compared to the past. Short of the Lower sections of the Lower McCloud though, all the rest of the Sac, McCloud and Pit are easily accessable in a 911.
