The Northern California Fly Fishing Board

In years past late March / early April usually saw some nice action ... anyone been on the river this last week or so?

Ric, I hate to be disloyal to the NCFFB, but Kiene's board has lots of recent reports. That's where I go for fishing conditions and updates. Sadly, I don't see much on the NCFFB.

Thanks - I had read the Fly Shop report, all due respect to the guys there, but they ALWAYS say the river is fishing great. lol. Good thought tho - I'll see what folks are saying on Bill's board, thanks.

Weather was rough this past week. Wade fished for a couple hours on Thursday when the weather was nice. One 20" beauty and one 12" fish. Missed a few on the long line nymphing technique (I think so, anyway). Didn't brave the 40 degree rainy/windy day on Friday. Bugs were out Friday: good # of caddis, a few PMDs, and found a couple guys rising to March Browns. Weather for this coming week looks better and I would go! Flows are low: 3,700 or so.
