Fishing was excellent and the catching was great too. Learned a bit about spey casting, at least enough to know I know nothing about it but by the end I was able to get over 100 feet out consistently. Fun. I'll try to put up a trip report in a bit...busy with a couple of other things right now.

I will trade you spey casting and pinning lessons for some elk Chili and a good mendo cab and some Booneville beer. But you need to hurry your ass up and move already.

Well, Patty and I had elk enchiladas tonight, which were exceptional, even if I do say so myself. Don't suspect you would be interested in those would you? I am going to be making a pot of chili for use on Eagle Lake second week of November if you can make it down. Hopefully will have fresh elk backstrap for that trip as well...hunting second season in Colorado again for a cow. I have some really, really good zins from here to go with whatever I cook, plus some other lesser known vines made in the old Italian style. Yum. Beer, well OK, if I must.

Pinning lessons??? Are you sewing now?

Mine was about six pounds for that fish. Fred's was closer to ten. Glad to see you here Mike.

I was thinking 26" fish with size 26 fly or maybe 30" fish with size 30 fly. Very nice fish by the way.
