I fished Baum Lake from my float tube this past Saturday and Sunday. Did OK Saturday with 12 smallish (10-12"
Rainbows caught near the pumphouse on Rickards A.P. Emerger (grey, size 12) on a floating line, and on Sunday I fished considerably downcurrent (down by the third tree laying in the water) and got one 16"-ish brown on a #8 olive & orange Rickards Seal Bugger on a Cortland Camo intermediate line. I spent the rest of Sunday trying to get back to the launch point. Eventually got there with the aid of a very nice young guy (strong as an ox!) who gave me a tow.
Next time I will have an anchor and backpack straps so I can haul out and walk back on the trail!
