Howdy Folks,
Just thought I would let some of you know I am still out here kicking. Haven't been able to get out on the water for a couple months now so have had nothing to post about and man I could sure use a break to get out fishing. I don't see much potential for a while however the way things are going. With all the fires all over California I have my hands really full trying to help coordinate our agencies Emergency Watershed Protection Program. At the request of local units of government like Cities and Counties we (Natural Resources Conservation Service) go in after wildfires and try to help stabilize burned areas and catch or deflect sediment or debris flows that will come down from burned areas this winter away from homes or other improvements at risk. As you might imagine we don't lack for projects to work on these days

.
The band is kind of on hold these days as Gene our banjo player is still recovering from his emergency open heart surgery of a month ago. He seems to be making slow but steady progress in regaining his full physical capabilities and strength back. We are all continuing to thank God and pray for continued recovery all the way back to full health. Its hard to sell CD's when you can't get out and play but those who have purchased our brand new CD have really liked it. I never seem to get tired of listening to it but then again I have all three of my kids as a guest artist on it

.
Dana and I have our first grandchild due in just over a month now

! This next month is baby shower month as I think the girls have about three of them lined up for our daughter! We are all definitely excited about this upcoming monumental event in our lives!
I do enjoy getting on the NCFFB site here when I can to see what all is going on in the fishing world. Its the next best thing when you can't get out yourself. Thanks Folks!
Bill
