The Northern California Fly Fishing Board

We fished the strech from the Prospect access to Mosbrae Falls with
pretty good results. The fishing wasn't red hot but certainly fish to
be caught. The highlight for me was seeing a fish working real close to
shore and not far from me. I got out of the river walked up above him
and tied on a #16 Adams...second cast - bam!..fish on...was able to
see the whole thing as he swam to it, inspected, hesitated, and then
sipped it in...Road Dog was doing pretty well with nymphs hooking into a
few niced size fish - pics below.

Sunday (today) fished the Lower McCloud near Ash Camp in the morning and
afternoon. The fishing seemed a little more consistent than the sac. A lot
of smaller fish around 10" or so but I managed to hook a real nice rainbow
that gave a hell of a fight. He hit a fast chute on the other side of the river
and I had to lift line like crazy to clear the bolders in the middle of the
river...had a blast...have a few pics to view below.
