The Northern California Fly Fishing Board

The first meeting of the Stanislaus Fly Fishers ( Modesto) will take place Tuesday, February 12 at 6:00 PM. We will be meeting at Mancini Hall Senior Center at 718 Tuolumne Blvd. Jim Peterson representing the Northern California Federation of Fly Fishers will be speaking.

I've got another meeting tonight at 7:00, but I'll try to stop in for a half hour or so.

Is the group going to meet every second Tuesday?

Sorry to have missed the first meeting, Bob.
I didn't make it back to Ripon until 6:10 (there were two accidents on on I-205. ), and with a 40 minute round trip from my place to Mancini Hall, it just didn't make sense to come by and still make my 7:00 meeting.

I got it on the calendar for next month, so I will definitely see you then.

Just a note to mention this at the next meeting. Just up a ways from Basso Bridge on the Tuolumne, the is a turnout people have been using as a dumpsite. We need to get a clean up organized for that spot. There's about 3 refrigerators, a couch and a lazy boy chair plus a bunch of other stuff. We need to clean the spot up. (unless someone wants to move in...the furniture is already there!!) I have a one ton truck with sideboards I can donate for use. lets take it to the Merced dump. Cheap dump fees there. Lets do it!!!!!!!

Great suggestion! This subject has been discussed in our previous organizational meetings. Other area waters are in dire need of clean ups. Conservation and enhancement of our local fisheries are high on the club's goals. Getting the youth away from their computers and involved in the great outdoors is also an important goal. We will post plans such a river clean-ups here. Thank you for your suggestion.

Lemme know if you guys get something organized with that. That spot is getting pretty bad! I have a little Mitsubishi PU that I can bring if we need it.

I can bring my old F100. It's a shorbed but it will still hold some junk.
I also have three stapping boys that can lend a hand...
